Privacy Policy: Ammunition Pages

(a) This privacy policy pertains to the use of www.ammunitionpages.com and www.ammopages.com (‘the Site’) and the materials available therein (‘the Materials’) by the website user (‘the User’).

(b) Ammunition Pages (‘the Administrator’) administers the Site and controls the provision of the Materials therein.

(c) This Privacy Policy explains how the User’s personal information is collected, used, maintained and disclosed by the Administrator. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the Terms and Conditions.

(d) Personal Information means information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about a User whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion.

(e) In addition, Personal Information includes but is not limited to the User’s email address, country or location and such other financial information (including but not limited to name, address, telephone number, credit card number, credit card pin, credit card institution, credit card expiry date) required to process the User’s payment for Site subscription.

1. Collection of the User’s Personal Information

1.1. Personal Information will only be requested where it is needed to enable the Administrator to provide its services to the User.

1.2. Unlawful or unreasonably intrusive methods will not be used by the Administrator to collect Personal Information and where reasonable and practicable any Personal Information will be collected directly from the User.

1.3. The Administrator may require the User to provide Personal Information if the User would like to participate in some activities available on, or benefit from, services offered on the Site.

1.4. Personal Information may also be obtained by the User’s completion of a ‘Contact Us’ form provided on the Site. Any comments or material provided to the Administrator either by way of the ‘Contact Us’ form or in some other manner (including email transmission) unless identified otherwise are deemed non-confidential. The Administrator can freely use, reproduce, distribute and publicly display such comments and materials without payment and without reference to the User personally.

1.5. The Administrator is also free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques contained in such responses for any purpose whatsoever and without charge.

1.6. The Administrator will take reasonable steps to ensure that if it collects Personal Information about a User from a third party, the User will be made aware of this.

1.7. The Administrator reserves the right to transfer personal information to third parties as part of any corporate reorganisation process including, but not limited to, mergers, acquisitions, and sales of all or substantially all of the Administrator’s assets.


2. Use of Personal Information Collected

2.1. The Administrator uses the User’s Personal Information collected on the Site primarily for the following purposes:-

2.1.1. Providing and enhancing the Site’s services;

2.1.2. Direct marketing by means of alerting the User to product updates, special offers, updated information and other news services from the Administrator or to forward promotional materials, if requested by the User;

2.1.3. To ensure the Site is relevant to the User’s needs;

2.1.4. To help the Administrator create and publish content most relevant to the User;

2.1.5. To allow the User to access limited-entry areas of the Site as appropriate;

2.1.6. To resolve disputes and enforce the Terms and Conditions;

2.1.7. To contact the User in response to sign up forms such as Contact Us, Forum and Newsletter service and to respond to the User’s questions;

2.1.8. Customer demographic research.

2.2. If the User chooses to provide the Administrator with Personal Information on this Site, the Administrator may transfer that information to the Administrator’s third party service providers, across borders and from the User’s country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world. By using the Site, the User consents to any such transfer of Personal Information outside of the User’s country or jurisdiction.

2.3. The Administrator occasionally hires third parties to provide certain services available on the Site or made available on the Administrator’s behalf. The Administrator may provide the third party providers the Personal Information they require to deliver their services, and the third party providers are prohibited from using that Personal Information for any other purpose.

2.4. Any Personal Information provided to the Administrator by the User will not be:-

2.4.1. Used for purposes unrelated to the Site services;

2.4.2. Sold or traded to third parties;

2.4.3. Disclosed to third parties unless:-

2.4.3.1. The Administrator is required by law to do so;

2.4.3.2. The Administrator has the User’s consent;

2.4.3.3. It is necessary in order to detect and prevent any criminal activity;

2.4.3.4. It is in accordance with clause 2.3 herein;

2.4.3.5. It is necessary to assist the Administrator in its provision of services to the User.

3. Use of Non-Personal Information Collected

3.1. The Administrator uses non-Personal Information such as demographic data to analyse and develop marketing strategies and to determine how the User found the Site, the User’s interests regarding the Administrator’s products and services and how to further improve the Site based upon User data.

3.2. Non-Personal Information of the nature referred to in subparagraph 3.1 herein may be shared with third parties.

4. Opt-Out

4.1. The Administrator provides the User the opportunity to exercise an opt-out choice if the User does not want to receive emails from the Administrator or updates regarding new services and products offered on the Site or if the User does not want the Administrator to share Personal Information with third parties.

4.2. The opt-out choice may be exercised at the points where Personal Information is collected by un-ticking the appropriate box.

4.3. If the User does not have access to exercise the opt-out option at the point where Personal Information is collected the User may also opt-out by contacting the Administrator.

4.4. The Administrator will process the ‘opt-out/unsubscribe’ as soon as possible, but the User must be aware that in some circumstances the User may receive additional messages while the ‘opt-out/unsubscribe’ is being processed.

5. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

5.1. The Administrator uses ‘cookies’ and other tracking technologies.

5.2. A ‘cookie’ is a small text file that may be used to collect information about Site activity. For example, when someone visits the Site, a cookie is placed on the User’s machine (if the User accepts cookies) or is read if the User has visited the Site previously.

5.3. Such cookies do not identify individual User’s but do identify a User’s browser type and Internet Service Provider (ISP).

5.4. The User may set most browsers to notify the User if they receive a cookie, or the User may choose to block cookies from the User’s browser. If the User chooses to erase or block the Site’s cookies, the User will need to re-enter their original user ID and password to gain access to certain parts of the Site.

5.5. If the User agrees to receive emails from the Administrator, those emails may contain advertising about goods and services that may be of interest to the User.

5.6. The use of cookies and other tracking technologies allows the Administrator to improve the Site and the User’s web experience.

5.7. The Administrator may also analyse information that does not contain personal information for trends and statistics. This information is for the Administrator’s use only and the Administrator does not disclose this information to any third parties.


6. Third Party Links

6.1. This statement applies solely to information collected on the Site.

6.2. The Site may contain links to other sites. The Administrator has no control or influence of the privacy practices of such other websites. The User should undertake their own enquiries to determine the accuracy or otherwise of the information on the Third Party Links.

6.3. The User is encouraged to read such other websites’ privacy statements in order to understand whether and how they procress data about the User’s visit to their site.


7. Access to the User’s Personal Information

7.1. The Administrator provides the User with an opportunity to access the User’s Personal Information to ensure it is correct, accurate and current.

7.2. The User is obliged to update any changes to their Personal Information as soon as practicable.

7.3. To edit Personal Information, the User must go to My Profile and follow the instructions.

7.4. Some services offered on the Site may collect information that is not accessible via My Profile. In such cases, the User can access their Personal Information by contacting the Administrator in accordance with clause 11 herein. The Administrator undertakes to respond to any such request within a reasonable time period.

8. Consent

8.1. The User acknowledges that until such time as the User ceases to use the Site, they expressly permit the Administrator to maintain, use and disclose the User’s Personal Information in accordance with this policy.


9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

9.1. The Administrator reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time, without notice or forewarning.

10. Security

10.1. The Administrator endeavours to take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the User’s Personal Information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

10.2. The Administrator does not warrant or represent that the User’s Personal Information is completely safe from hackers and other security threats.

10.3. The Administrator will take all reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify all Personal Information upon receipt of notice from the User that the User intends to permanently cease using the Site and terminate any subscription to the Material available on the Site.
